Gautam Puri

Satya Narayanan R

Satya is the Chairman of IWSB Board of Governors. A visionary to the core, he enjoyed a brief stint in Pharmaceutical Marketing with Ranbaxy, before chasing his dreams of being an Entrepreneur. He started Career Launcher, South Asia’s leading edu- corporate. Satya is also a certified Crestcom and NTL trainer who has trained corporate bigwigs in leadership and management skills, besides thousands of students, teachers and corporate executives. Satya also supports new Entrepreneurial ventures through his association with TIE. Occasionally, he also trains the Delhi state cricket team in the area of “mental preparation”

Gautam Puri

GP belongs to a rare breed of people who are gifted with the competence of understanding education as well as business. He has had successful stints in the industry (Hindustan Petroleum, Britannia, VAM Organic) before taking a plunge as an entrepreneur. While the business numbers are always at his fingertips, GP is a teacher par excellence and IWSB will see him in action in Quantitative techniques and Operations Management. GP is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore

Arindam

Arindam Lahiri, Executive Director – IWSB

Arindam Lahiri, Executive Director IWSB, started his career with Maruti Udyog in its Supply Chain Management Division and then moved on to work with PCL (a computer manufacturing company). He later worked with Honeywell (Allied Signal International) before joining Career Launcher in 2001.

An MBA from IIM (Lucknow), he has headed Career Launcher’s numerous initiatives like Courseware Development Team and has been responsible for the production and development of all academic content.

His passion in operations management, especially Supply Chain Management, has taken him to share his experience with management students at a number of business schools including sessions at IIM, Lucknow. He expects to contribute to the growth of operations management area at IWSB. As a pillar to IWSB, he will organize systems and processes and will focus on their Implementation.

An active footballer, a cricket fan, a stamp collector, an avid reader and an Indian classical music enthusiast, Arindam is passionate about skills development in the country.

Philip

Philip Anderson

Philip Anderson is the INSEAD Alumni Fund Professor of Entrepreneurship at INSEAD. He is also director of the 3i VentureLab and director of the Rudolf and Valeria Maag International Centre for Entrepreneurship.  He received his Ph.D. in Management of Organizations from Columbia University. He has a wealth of experience of research and teaching in management and has been a guiding light for IWSB. He is our chief mentor and has played a vital role in shaping the curricula.

Sridar Iyengar

Sridar Iyengar is associated with Bessemer Venture Partners. He is an independent advisor to businesses particularly those operating in the US/India corridor. He has been active in US/India economic, business and social issues for the last 15 years. He serves on the Boards of Infosys Technologies, ICICI Bank and Rediff.com and other Indian and US based companies. He will provide his able guidance to the Board of IWSB.

Veeresh

Veeresh Sharma

Veeresh has a Ph.D. in Strategic Management. He brings with him 28 years of industry experience and 12 years of research and teaching in premier B Schools of the country. Resigned from post of Vice President (International Operations) to start a global strategic consultancy organization, he has been a strategy consultant to more than 50 MNCs in more than 41 countries of North America, Europe, North Africa, Middle and Far East. Clients included Fortune 500 corporations among others. Veeresh is also invited as a visiting faculty at MDI and FMS.

Sunil

Sunil Joshi

Sunil is a senior banking professional with extensive experience of more than 27 years in International and Domestic Banking & academics. He is alumni of FMS, Delhi University. He has worked with Punjab National Bank—a premier Nationalized Bank, and ICICI Bank–the largest private sector bank in India. He has also worked with Meadow Bank at Auckland in New Zealand .To share his banking experience with the academic world he joined as Asst. Professor at Amity Business School. Thereafter served as Head of the Department of Management Studies, JSS Academy of Technical Education. Focus of his specialization has been Credit Appraisal, International Finance, Trade Finance and Banking. Thereafter he worked as Deputy Director (Centre for Retail Management) with FDDI, an autonomous society of Govt. of India under the Ministry of Commerce. There he started an MBA programme in retail management. In his last assignment, he worked as Director-Academics with Bangalore School of Business, Delhi Campus. He has also been a visiting professor at various business schools, including the S.P. Jain institute of Management, Mumbai, where he was invited to take up a one-week capsule course on Retail Banking for their MBA students at Singapore and  Dubai.  Presently he is working as a professor at IWSB in the area of International Finance.

R Sreenivasan

Raju Majumdar

Raju has over 6 years of experience in teaching and research. A Masters in Economics, from the Delhi School of Economics and Master of Finance and Control from Banaras Hindu University, he is currently pursuing the Fellow Program in Management from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. His areas of interest include Corporate Capital Structure, Investment Analysis, Fixed Income Instruments, Financial Derivatives and Real Options. Apart from being an instructor of Corporate Finance and Equity & Fixed Income Instruments: Analysis, Trading and Portfolio Management, he has published 7 research papers in reputed Indian journals, including the Indian Accounting Review and the Journal of Applied Finance. In his last assignment with the Society for Development Studies, he developed a Hedonic Price Model for house prices for two Indian cities of Mumbai and Coimbatore.

Rajkishan

Rajkishan Nair

Rajkishan has a combined teaching and research experience of more than 10 years in the area of Economics. He has been teaching at the Delhi University since 1999 and has also worked as a Senior Economist with the Economic Research Foundation, New Delhi.  Holding an M.Phil. degree in Economics, he is currently in the finishing stages of his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

His passion for people and education and the bigger dream of a world without hierarchical boundaries has made IWSB his second home. Deeply interested in the prospects of Agribusiness (coupling it with the notion of “small is beautiful”), in the future of the developing world, and with a fascination for Developmental Economics, especially the importance of sustaining traditional food systems, he adds diversity to the IWSB academic team.

Sujit Bhattacharyya

A quintessential technologist, Sujit brings in world-class leadership to IWSB. With his experience in Silicon Valley and India, IWSB is poised to become an applied laboratory to develop real-world technolgy solutions in addition to delivering high quality systems education. Sujit is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur & IIM Bangalore.

Navneet Kapoor

An alumnus of St. Stephens College, Delhi, Navneet has spent 17 years in advertising in various agencies like IB&W, Rediffusion DY&R, Everest and Percept/H.

His portfolio consists of multimedia campaigns for prominent brands like Government of India: The Bharat Nirman Campaign in 2008, Hero Honda Passion Plus motorcycle and DLF along with Airtel, Telstra V-Com, Maruti Omni Van, Canon, GETIT Yellow Pages, Panasonic, Honda Cars & Two wheelers and Ministry of Minority Affairs.

His interest in mentoring and his curiosity about brands and consumers have brought him to IWSB where he is part of the marketing faculty. He is also involved in creating and implementing the Museum of Entrepreneurship at IWSB and supervising the creative work generated for CL and all group initiatives.

Along with facilitating learning in marketing courses, Navneet actively pursues to offer consultancy on Brands and Advertising ideas.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar

Rajesh Kumar heads the Knowledge Resource Center at IWSB. He is a Ph.D. holder in Geography in addition to M.L.Isc, M.Phil. (Lib.& Inf.Sc.) & C.I.C. He is also pursuing Master in Business Administration.

He has developed a Unique Concept “Total Quality Librarian” in the field of Library Science. He has contributed/presented about 16 papers in different National and International Conferences at different Institutions. Apart from that His 6 articles have also been published in reputed Magazines and Journals. He has also edited two books including “Recent Technological Trends in Management and Library System: Issues and Challenges” and “Role of Quality in Management and Library Systems: Issues and Challenges”.

Before joining IWSB, he has served in reputed organizations (Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, Amity Business School, Noida, Sri Sringeri Sharada Institute of Management, New Delhi, Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi, Asia- Pacific Institute of Management Studies, New Delhi and ICFAI Business School (IBS), Noida).

He has served as the Organizing Secretary & member of several National Conferences on Library and Information Science and successfully conducted Conference, workshop and Seminar.

He has been instrumental in setting up the Library of many of the institutions he has worked with. He is also an elected Executive Council member of the reputed Management Libraries Network (MANLIBNET). He is the life member of ILA, MANLIBNET, ALSD and IASLIC

Bhumika Malhotra

Bhumika is a Graduate in Economics (H) from the University of Delhi and Masters in Business Administration (Finance specialization) from ICFAI, Hyderabad. She has over 3 years of experience in industry and academics. Her area of interest is Corporate Finance, and her research passion centers around applied research in corporate capital structure. Bhumika has a forthcoming publication titled “The determinants of long-term corporate Indebtedness in India: A review of Post-Liberalization evidence and some unresolved issues” in the Journal of Managerial Finance and Research, an Institute of Public Enterprise publication.

Bhumika has also worked with Prof. Ishwar Dayal, former Director IIM-L, on a research project titled “Integrating Cultural Attributes of Indians for Management System and Education” in 2009.

Along with research, Bhumika is also actively participating in core finance courses for the 1st year students at IWSB.

Rajeev Ranjan

Rajeev is a Post Graduate in Management from NIFT and a graduate in Economics from Delhi University. With over three years of work experience in education industry, his inclination towards academic research and teaching pulled him into IWSB. Along with academic delivery in the area Marketing and Entrepreneurship, he is actively pursuing his research interests in the area of retail and consumer behavior.

Rajeev has worked on demand forecasting model for Arvind Brands and has worked on sponsored project for retail expansion strategy for Vishal retail along with developing product allocation and replen

replenishment model for organized retail.

He is currently working on developing business cases in the area of entrepreneurship for the course in Inspiring Entrepreneurial Leadership. He is further pursuing research in the area of demand forecasting for apparel brands for Indian market.

There has been enough debate on whether entrepreneurship can be taught in classroom. Our belief is that it can certainly be learned in a classroom setting, especially when “taught” by some of the best entrepreneurs who have traveled the whole distance themselves.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani

Sanjeev, a St. Stephen’s and IIMA alumnus, is a highly successful business entrepreneur. He is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Info Edge, India’s leading Internet Classifieds Company. Info Edge owns and runs naukri.com, jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com, naukrigulf.com and Quadrangle. An entrepreneur since 1990, he has also worked in marketing at Glaxo SmithKline (then HMM) and in advertising at Lintas.

Mahesh Murthy
(Founder, Pinstorm)

Mahesh is a well known entrepreneur and investor. He has founded a number of successful ventures including Pinstorm and Passionfund, and is a managing Partner at Seedfund. His passion goes beyond entrepreneurship. He loves traveling and trekking, and has been a regular columnist. He is also a visiting faculty at INSEAD.

Shantanu

Shantanu Prakash

Shantanu Prakash founded Educomp Solutions Limited, India’s first school centric education solutions company in 1995, a few years after acquiring an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His vision has been to transform the teaching-learning process through the use of technology. Shantanu is also a member of the Board of Globio, USA  which focuses on the area of bio-diversity education, and the founder of Education Quality Foundation of India ( EQFI).
